Lil Chris turned 5 this past January. WOW is all I can say. I think back to the day he was born and never realized how fast time can fly. 5 years and poof, gone. Those baby years, poof, gone. Eventually these years before we know it will be gone too in a flash.
Before we had Lil Chris, I was not even sure if I wanted kids. Yes, my wife always wanted kids but I was not sure. When I look at the world and how dangerous it is right now, that scares me plus so many parents would tell us how bad having kids are those first few years.
I also watched how some 2 and 3-year-olds were and would many times ask myself, could I even handle that? My answer was always no because I thought our child would be like that as you always hear that your kids will do worse to you than what you did to your parents. I was very bad in my late teens and early adult, that made me not want kids hearing so many say stupid things like that.
I never realized that each child is different and how you could fall in love with your child over and over more each day. It never dawned on me the positive side of having kids.
As I look back over these last 5 years, the Joy that Lil Chris has brought into our life and marriage. Before Lil Chris, our marriage was very strong but after Lil Chris, I believe our marriage has become more intimate.
I have always been one that is high on life, but after Lil Chris, that has been taken to a whole new level. Watching him get so excited about the smallest things is one of the most precious things I have felt. Everyone says that he looks like such a happy boy and in reality he is. We haven’t had many problems at this point with him and we are looking forward to each year watching him grow into the man that God created him to be!
We are so Blessed and highly favored with God when it comes to Lil Chris and all I can say is WOW. I am learning so much from his spirit of pure Joy! Everyday he lives in so much Joy that I have no choice to live in Joy too.
I hope you feel the same way about your kids the way I feel about Lil Chris because if you do then count yourself Blessed because that is a true Blessing from God! Don’t allow others to fool you on that, you are Blessed if you have kids.
